Match Preview
It will be a huge game for the Australian Matildas in front of a sea of crowds. This year, the excitement for the women’s tournament is at its peak.
The in-form Australia W side will be energized, who are coming into this tournament winning International Friendlies against France and England.
Sam Kerr’s side have won nine of their last 10 matches, including a 1-0 win over France last Friday and a 2-0 win over England in April that ended the Lionesses’ 30-game unbeaten streak.
Chelsea forward and the biggest name on the pitch Sam Kerr, who is captaining the Matildas, spoke during the pre-match conference. “It’s actually happening. All the prep work that we’ve done for years, all the days of hard work, and now it’s finally coming together in 24 hours,” said Kerr.
