This is an experienced squad that has no major surprises. The manager is backing several familiar faces, and there are few surprises left to watch for in Qatar’s 2022 World Cup squad.

Qatar coach Felix Sanchez has added many experienced players to his squad for the country’s World Cup debut.

Sanchez looks forward to seeing how the Maroons will fare at future tournaments. He’s backed many of the same players who made their mark in that tournament, and he’s confident they will replicate their success again.

On day one of the World Cup, Qatar is set to play Ecuador. Their captain, 31-year-old Hassan Al Hairdos, has racked up 169 caps.

Before facing Ecuador on November 20, Qatar will take on Senegal on November 25 and the Netherlands on November 29.
