Jurriën David Norman Timber was born on 17 June 2001, in Utrecht, Netherlands. He is an Ajax youth academy product. His twin brother Quinten Timber is also a footballer.

Jurrien Timber made his professional debut for the Ajax reserve team in 2018. He began playing regularly for the Ajax first team in the season 2020-21.
