Qatar World Cup Booking A Shuttle Flight From Dubai To Doha Here's What You Should Know

The FIFA World Cup is just around the corner, and if you’re planning to travel to Qatar for the event, now is the time to book your flight.

flydubai and Qatar Airways will be offering shuttle service between Dubai World Central (DWC) airport and Doha for the duration of the tournament, making it easy and convenient for fans to get to and from the matches.

Whether you’re already in Qatar or coming from abroad, here’s what you need to know before booking your shuttle flight.

Do not delay any longer.

The daily shuttle flights to Doha are becoming more expensive as the kick-off date for the Qatar World Cup approaches. If you’re looking to save money, it might be cheaper to book a flight from Dubai and stay there for the event. However, if you book your flights quickly, you might pay more than you originally intended.

How long can I stay in Qatar?

According to flydubai’s website, “There is a maximum stay restriction of 24 hours for all return Match Day Shuttle flights booked from Dubai to Doha.” This includes the requirement to fly in at least four hours before kick-off for any match you intend to watch. So if you’re looking to catch a game while in Doha, make sure you plan your trip consequently.

No flights on the kick-off day

There will be no special Match Day shuttle flights on November 20. All of our regularly scheduled flights will be up and running, though.

From DXB to DWC

If you’re planning a trip and your first stop is DXB airport, you’ll need to get to DWC airport for your shuttle flight. There are no shuttle services between the two airports, so you’ll have to plan.

Once in Qatar

If you’re traveling from Dubai, you’ll land at Doha International Airport (DIA) on flydubai and at Hamad International Airport (DOH) on Qatar Airways.

The Hayya Card will be your go-to for free public transport in Qatar during the tournament until December 23. When you book a match day shuttle with either carrier, you’ll also get complimentary ground transportation between the airport in Doha and the stadiums.

Hayya card holders must present their card and a valid match ticket to check in for the shuttle flights on match day.
