Former Barcelona manager and the Spanish boss Luis Enrique spoke about Brazil, Argentina, France, and their recent forms in a press conference on Sunday before their Czech Republic clash in the Nations League.

Luis Enrique claims that Brazil and Argentina are favorites to win the World Cup 2022. “I see Argentina and Brazil well above all the other national teams, well above the rest.”

The South American Champions Argentina beat Brazil at the Maracana in June last year to win the Copa America cup, their first major trophy since 1993. On top of that, they smashed the Euro 2020 champions Italy by 3-0 goals on June 1 to win the Finalissima 2022, another major international trophy. Lionel Messi and Co will go hot in Qatar as they are on a 33-match unbeaten run.

The five-times World Champions Brazil is the hot favorite to win the World Cup 2022. After an undefeated campaign, they finished the CONMEBOL qualifiers at the top of the table.

Spain coach Luis Enrique spoke about the inconsistent performance of his side before the Czech Republic clash on Sunday. They were in 2nd place in Group A2 with 2 draws and a win, 2 points behind Portugal.

“If some expect us to win all of the games and do so by thrashing our opponents, they know nothing of modern football; look at France, the [2018] World Cup Champions and [2021] Nations League winners.”

France were at the bottom of Group A1 with 2 draws and a defeat after 3 matches in the Nations League.

Spain, however, beat Czech Republic on Sunday night at La Rosaleda Stadium, Malaga, by 2-0 goals to claim the top spot in Group A2. Portugal lost 0-1 against Switzerland the same night at Stade de Geneve to lose their top spot to Spain.
