World Cup Coverage looks into the latest status on Christian Pulisic, Daryl Dike, Miles Robinson, Weston McKennie, and Gio Reyna before the World Cup 2022.
Christian Pulisic – Chelsea
USMNT captain Christian Pulisic has been struggling for game time. The kid from Hearsay has started only a game out of six for Chelsea this season. He played only a few minutes coming in the second half in those five matches.
However, things could change under their new manager Graham Potter. The former Brighton boss was appointed after Thomas Tuchel was sacked earlier in September.

Daryl Dike – West Brom
West Brom striker Daryl Dike suffered a thigh injury in training before their match against Watford.
The former Orlando City striker has been out due to injury since January. However, he recovered in time before West Brom’s opening match against Middlesbrough and played 12 minutes. Unfortunately, injury struck once again in training before the Watford match.
“It’s bad luck, really bad luck. You’ve got a 22-year-old who comes here and has never been injured, then he picks up three since he walked through the door last January,” said Steve Bruce (West Brom manager).
The 22-year-old is expected to be out until October with his World Cup spot under threat.
Miles Robinson – Atlanta United
USMNT starting center-back Miles Robinson has been unavailable since May due to an Achilles. He is expected to be out until 2023.
He underwent surgery shortly after his injury and is recovering now. It could be a huge setback for the United States.
The Atlanta United defender tweeted the following after his surgery.
I can’t find the words to describe all the emotions I’m feeling today. But I do know that I am so grateful to have such loving family, friends and fans that have been so supportive over the last few days. Day one of the comeback starts today! I’ll be back…BELIEVE THAT❤️ pic.twitter.com/ROL1vhLT09
