The third edition of The Hundred cricket tournament is here. Organized by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB), it’s a 100-ball format cricket tournament. The Hundred 2023 will take place from August 1-27, across eight venues.

Trent Rockets are the defending champions in the men’s event, while Oval Invincibles have won the women’s title in the first two years.

The Hundred Tournament Format
Each franchise team will play eight matches, four home matches and four away; seven matches with seven other teams, and then a bonus match against their nearest regional rivals.
The eight city-based teams will compete over 64 matches in the group stage (32 men’s, 32 women’s).
After the league stage, the top team will automatically reach the final. The 2nd and 3rd teams will play an eliminator semi-final to reach the final.
Both men’s and women’s finals will take place on August 27, at the Lord’s, London.

- A change of ends after 10 balls
- Bowlers deliver either 5 or 10 consecutive balls
- Each bowler can deliver a maximum of 20 balls per game
- A 25-ball powerplay start for each team in which only two fielders are allowed outside the 30-yard circle
- The non-striker must return to their original end after a caught dismissal
- No-balls are worth two runs and a free hit
- Slow over-rates are penalized by one fewer fielder being permitted outside the ring for the final over
