João Félix Sequeira was born on 10 November 1999, in Viseu, Portugal. His parents Carlos and Carla are both teachers.
Club Career
Felix played youth football for Porto and Benfica. He made his senior professional first-team debut for Benfica in August 2018, at the age of 17.
For his skills and creative talents, the amazing young talent became a regular starter for Benfica in his very first season (2018-19). He played in 26 games and scored 15 goals in the Portuguese Primeira Liga that season, helping Benfica to win the league title. He was awarded the 2019 Golden Boy as the best European young footballer.
In 2019, Atletico Madrid signed the player for a reported €126 million transfer fee, the fourth-most expensive football transfer at the time.
