Araújo’s professional career started with Rentistas, where he made his senior debut on 24 September 2016.

He later moved to Boston River, gaining experience in the Uruguayan top flight. His performances caught the attention of FC Barcelona, and he signed a five-year contract with Barça B on 29 August 2018.
