|Rohit Sharma||Captain, Opening Batsman|
|Shubman Gill||Opening Batsman|
|KL Rahul||Opening Batsman/Wicket Keeper|
|Ishan Kishan||Batsman/Wicket Keeper|
|Hardik Pandya||Vice Captain, All Rounder|
|Ravindra Jadeja||All Rounder|
|Axar Patel||All Rounder|

Jasprit Bumrah has returned to ODI cricket after a long-term injury. The right-arm fast bowler will be the key bowler for India. Mohammed Siraj and Mohammed Shami are also obvious choices in the bowling department.
Kuldeep Yadav will be the only wrist spinner in the squad. Yuzvendra Chahal, who was left out of the Asia Cup tournament, continues to be sidelined.
Suryakumar Yadav, the No. 1 T20I batsman in the World, has struggled in the 50-over format. He has not scored a 50 in his last 18 innings. The batsman gets the nod for the World Cup.
Hardik Pandya and Ishan Kishan batted brilliantly against Pakistan to bail them out of danger. They will be crucial in the batting order for India in the upcoming World Cup. KL Rahul has also proved his fitness to secure a spot in the squad.
The ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 is only days away, taking place from 5 Oct. – 19 Nov., across ten venues in India.
