India have announced the 15-man squad for the upcoming ICC Cricket World Cup 2023.

Suryakumar Yadav gets the nod over Tilak Varma and Sanju Sampson. Prasidh Krishna and Yuzvendra Chahal also miss out.

Jasprit Bumrah has returned to ODI cricket after a long-term injury. The right-arm fast bowler will be the key bowler for India. Mohammed Siraj and Mohammed Shami are also obvious choices in the bowling department.

Kuldeep Yadav will be the only wrist spinner in the squad. Yuzvendra Chahal, who was left out of the Asia Cup tournament, continues to be sidelined.

Suryakumar Yadav, the No. 1 T20I batsman in the World, has struggled in the 50-over format. He has not scored a 50 in his last 18 innings. The batsman gets the nod for the World Cup.
